Please note that although the closing date is Tuesday, we still need to make up teams/sections and give Cape Hunt the names by Tuesday. Photographs from the tournament have now been posted in our Photo Gallery section... HIGGS RULES JUNIOR CLASSIC Congratulations to Tony in coaching both winning sides of the A- and B Division.
The Junior Classic took place on 2/3 May 2008. Most teams arrived Thursday 1 May with some lovely weather in Tweespruit. This was the end of this weather with Friday and Saturday being miserable, windy and cold. All the team tents facing straight into the wind and dust, but never the less some excellent polocrosse was played, especially by the lower handicapped juniors.

The S.A. U14 & Veteran teams for the forth coming international tours were announced at the Bishopstowe tournament a couple of weeks ago.
The S.A. U16, U19 & U23 teams had to wait a little longer, but the final teams have now been announced at the recent Junior Classic tournament - played in fairly cold, wet and windy weather at the Rakhoi Club in Tweespruit, Free State. |

On 12 & 13 April 2008 the Cape Unicorns Polocrosse Club hosted the first ever polocrosse tournament at the picturesque Nelson Wine Estate on the R44 near Windmeul, in the Paarl countryside.
The level of play was of an exceptional standard and very evenly matched - resulting in spectacular game play and nail biting 'sudden death' play-off's in the finals! Several of the country's top players were competing in the A Division matches. |
